Cycads of India, an online database is a site developed by Biosystematics Laboratory, University School of Environment Management, GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The laboratory has been recognised as one of the two "Centres of Research on the Gymnosperms of India" by Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Government of India. The Gymnosperm Research Centre at GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi is headed by Dr. Rita Singh, who has been dedicating her research works for the last two decades on biosystematics and conservation of Cycas in India. The Centre is credited with discovery of two new species of Cycas from the country: Cycas annakailensis and Cycas swamyi.
